MomentBook Terms of Service

Version: 2.0.0

Effective Date: April 17, 2026

Last Updated: April 17, 2026

Operator: Hansol Yoon

Contact: support@momentbook.app

1. Scope and Acceptance

These Terms govern your use of the MomentBook mobile app, the read-only public web pages that display published journeys, and related support and legal pages.

By creating an account, uploading content, publishing a journey, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the accompanying Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and any separate consent notices presented to you.

2. Eligibility and Account Responsibilities

You may use the Service only if you can lawfully agree to these Terms and to any applicable data-processing rules in your jurisdiction.

If local law requires parent or guardian consent for a minor's account or publishing activity, that consent must be obtained before use.

You must provide accurate account information, keep credentials secure, and remain responsible for activity that occurs through your account.

3. Private Use and Public Publishing

Content you upload is not made public unless you choose to publish a journey.

When you publish a journey, selected photos, titles, descriptions, localized text, timing information, location labels, author display information, and related metadata may be shown on public MomentBook web pages.

4. Ownership, License, and Rights Clearances

You keep ownership of the photos, text, and other content you upload, subject to the rights you grant to us in these Terms.

You grant MomentBook a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, translate, localize, format, transmit, display, distribute, moderate, and otherwise use your content as needed to operate, secure, review, troubleshoot, promote, and improve the Service.

This license ends within a reasonable time after content is deleted or the account is closed, except to the extent copies must be retained for backups, legal obligations, dispute resolution, safety review, or evidence preservation.

You may upload and publish only content you have the right to use. If a person can be identified in a photo or related text, you are responsible for obtaining every permission or other lawful basis required to capture, upload, publish, localize, and publicly display that person's likeness, name, voice, or personal information.

If minors appear in content, you must obtain any parent or guardian permissions required by law. You must also respect copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, portrait, moral, venue, property, and similar rights.

5. Search Engines and Third-Party Visibility

Published journeys may be crawled, indexed, cached, translated, linked, embedded, or previewed by search engines, browsers, social platforms, AI systems, and other third parties.

If you later delete or unpublish content, MomentBook can stop displaying it on surfaces it controls, but cannot guarantee immediate removal of copies, thumbnails, snippets, caches, or archives kept by third parties.

6. Prohibited Conduct and Moderation

You must not upload, publish, or use the Service for illegal, deceptive, infringing, invasive, hateful, sexually exploitative, violent, or otherwise harmful conduct.

You must not expose personal data without authorization, impersonate others, evade safeguards, scrape the Service, send spam, abuse automated systems, or interfere with operations or safety controls.

We may review, delay, de-index, hide, restrict, or remove content, suspend accounts, and preserve records when reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, rights protection, fraud prevention, or enforcement of these Terms.

7. Rights Complaints, Deletion, and Termination

Rights holders, privacy complainants, or authorities may contact support@momentbook.app. We may request URLs, identity or authority information, and supporting evidence before acting.

You may stop using the Service at any time and request account or content deletion through available service tools or by contacting support@momentbook.app.

We may terminate or restrict access for material breaches, repeated violations, fraud, abuse, security risk, or legal risk.

8. Service Changes, Governing Law, and Updates

We may change, pause, or discontinue features for operational, security, product, or legal reasons.

Except where prohibited by law, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every public page will remain indexed or accessible.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, except to the extent mandatory consumer, privacy, or data-protection laws in your place of residence apply.

We may update these Terms to reflect legal, operational, or product changes. Material changes will be announced before they take effect, and the updated version date will be posted here.
